American news anchor, John Berman is an Emmy-award-winning CNN anchor who worked at CNN News Central weekdays from 9am - 12pm ET. Previously, he worked as co-anchor of New Day and a number of other CNN broadcasts.

Early Life

On March 21, 1972, he was born in Carlisle, Massachusetts. However, details of John Berman's parents, siblings, and early life kept private. Having American nationality, Berman is of Jewish descent. He joined Phillips Academy Andover, an independent co-educational, boarding, and day, university-preparatory school in the town of Andover in Massachusetts.

In the year 1990, he left the Academy and enrolled at Harvard University. From the University, John graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social studies.


Career

He started his professional career as a  junior office post at ABC News after leaving Harvard. Berman quickly advanced to the position of Chief Writer for ABC World News Tonight's longtime anchor Peter Jennings. He was tasked with covering the White House following President George W. Bush's inauguration. After six months, he asked to be sent to New York. The World Trade Center towers were demolished during his first week of employment due to the September 11 attacks. At the start of the conflict in al-Nasiriyah, Berman worked as an on-air correspondent while embedded with a Marine combat unit as a general assignment reporter in Iraq. The largest stories should always be covered by a reporter, notwithstanding the risks.

On September 15, 2022, it was made known that Berman will be departing New Day alongside Brianna Keilar at the conclusion of the current season. He would continue to co-anchor the programme until the new CNN morning show launched. When CNN revealed plans to update its daytime programming in January 2023, Berman was selected to co-anchor from 9 a.m. to noon on their new show CNN News Central, which premiered on April 3, 2023. She will be joined by Kate Bolduan and Sara Sidner. Berman appeared on a celebrity Jeopardy! on May 13, 2015. episode. He won $50,000 for the children's charity Friends of Karen by defeating Mo Rocca and Wendi McLendon-Covey, two further celebrity participants.

John Berman has been happily married to Kerry Voss. As per reports, his wife Voss is the CEO of  ITNetwork Designs. On July 20, 2001, John and Kerry got married in a private wedding ceremony. They also planned their wedding in a short time span. Before their marriage, the duo met while attending Harvard University in the mid-1990s. In the year 2018, he shared a picture of his wedding band on their anniversary with the caption;
