Brad Falchuk Parents

In Newton, Massachusetts, Bradley Douglas Falchuk was born on March 1, 1971. He is the son of parents Nancy Falchuk (mother), and Kenneth H. Falchuk (father). He was raised by Jewish parents. Brad's mother Nancy, the national president of the Hadassah Women's Zionist Organization of America from 2007 to 2011. Having American nationality, Falchuk is of white ethnicity.

He made an effort to distinguish himself from his peers in high school by coming to class every day with a tie on. Because of his early passion for narrative, he decided to study cinema at the American Film Institute (MFA). In the year 1993, he graduated from Hobart College (BA). Also, he has a siblings Evan Falchuk.

His professional career as a writer began after working in the television series "Mutant X". However, he rose to popularity as a producer working as a writer on Season 1 of Nip/Tuck. Both reviewers and viewers praised the show, which made Falchuk an important personality in television. He ascended to the position of co-executive producer and showcased his prowess as a compelling storyteller while working alongside Ryan Murphy. He partnered with Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan to create "Glee," in 2009, a musical dramedy series that became a cultural phenomenon. Brad played a critical role in the show's development and success of the series while working as a writer, director, and executive producer. The series "Glee" won numerous awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

He and Ryan co-created the anthology series "American Horror Story" in the year 2011. Each season featured a distinct plot, stretching the limits of the horror genre on television and solidifying Falchuk's reputation as an accomplished writer. With "American Crime Story," Falchuk and Murphy later developed their anthology strategy for the true crime genre and won multiple accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited Series for "The People v. O. J. Simpson." The team of Falchuk, Murphy, and Tim Minear co-created the procedural drama "9-1-1" for Fox in the year 2018. The hugely successful show, which examines the stressful realities of first responders, has given rise to a spin-off series called "9-1-1: Lone Star."
