Moon Bin best known as a member of the K-pop boy group ASTRO. Also, he was a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor whose stage name Moonbin.

Does Moon Bin Have Siblings?

On January 26th, 1998, he was born in Cheongju, Chungbuk Province to Korean parents. He was one of two siblings in his family and his younger sister, Moon Sua, a member of the South Korean girl group Billlie.

Moon Bin had South Korean nationality and belonged to Asian ethnicity. He joined and graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School, with a focus on Practical Music.


Career

Under the encouragement of his mother, he made his debut in 2004 as a kid model and as an ulzzang. In the year 2006, he rose to popularity for his appearance in TVXQ's music video for their song "Balloons" portraying a mini U-Know Yunho. In the year 2009, Moon Bin made his acting debut in the Korean drama Boys over Flowers. In the series, he played the younger version of Kim Bum's character. Since fifth grade, he was a trainee of Fantagio and became a full-fledged trainee in his middle school years. He participated in the iTeen business' male group initiative and became the second trainee to be awarded the Fantagio iTeen Photo Test Cut. Moonbin and the rest of his group appeared in the online drama To Be Continued before making their Astro debut. On February 23, 2016, he debuted as part of the six-member boy group Astro. Their debut extended play, Spring Up, had five songs, including the lead single "Hide & Seek."

He joined the cast of The Ultimate Watchlist of Latest Trends in 2018 and became the part of first two seasons. Moonbin played the role of Jung Oh-je in the series Moments of Eighteen. On November 12, 2019, Fantagio announced that Moonbin will not be participating in Astro's forthcoming promotions for the release of their Blue Flame EP owing to health concerns. In February 2020, he ended his sabbatical by performing with the other Astro members in a V Live event. Along with his bandmate Yoon San-ha and Kangmin of Verivery, he was confirmed as one of the new hosts of the South Korean music program Show Champion. He joined the eco-friendly culinary show Food Avengers and received the go-ahead to play the main character in the online drama The Mermaid Prince, and performed for a second season.

He had become one of the fashion models for the brand Nerdy Cafe in September 2020. With the release of their first EP, In-Out, and its lead track, "Bad Idea," he and his bandmate Sanha (Yoon San-ha) made their debut as Astro's first sub-unit. Neikidnis disclosed that it has chosen Moonbin as its first muse in 2021. He joined the cast of Coupang Play's Saturday Night Live Korea for its second season. Moonbin opted to extend his contract with the agency, according to an official statement from Fantagio that was made public on December 30, 2022.

As per reports, Moon Bin had an estimated net worth of $2 Million at the time of his death. During his work, he earned an average salary of between $346.4K to $458.4K annually.

Also, he earned money from acting and modeling gigs. Likewise, he became a brand ambassador for major brands around South Korea. Therefore, he lived a lavish life during his lifetime.


Moon Bin Married

Moon Bin was married and doesn't have a wife at the time of his death. Also, he was single, when he passed away. Likewise, Moon Bin hadn't shared any info about his past relationship as well.


Moon Bin Death

On April 19, 2023, he was found dead at his home in the Gangnam District of Seoul in the evening. At the age of 25, he passed away. After missing rehearsals, his manager tracked him down. The Seoul Gangnam Police, investigating the death, said in a statement that "it appears that he took his own life."

According to the Gangnam Police, "no signs of foul play have been found related to this case." Moonbin was to be buried on April 22, 2023, according to a formal announcement made by Fantagio on April 21. His family requested that the burial place and the funeral procession remain discreet.
