Ed served as the chief sports anchor and director of sports at WISH-TV, the Indianapolis CBS affiliate, prior to joining WCVB. He co-hosted and reported the station's annual "Indy 500" special, served as host and producer of The Colts Today, the NFL Indianapolis Colts coach's show, and anchored and produced the 6 PM and 11 PM sportscasts.

Brad Bailey, Catilin's attorney, responded to the situation by claiming the accusations were untrue and questioning the sudden resurgence of the accusation after ten years.
Additionally, Caitlin was fired from Needham School during her tenure as a teacher due to a suspected abusive relationship she had with another educator there. However, Catilin rejected the assertion and filed a lawsuit against Needham for acting improperly.
