In the year 1983, Television presenter Francesca was born in Newmarket, United Kingdom. She hails from racing royalty with her father Luca Cumani a former trainer and breeder from Italy. Also, her grandparents were involved in horses. At the age of 12, she started riding racehorses. She joined Tudor Hall School, a boarding and day-independent school for girls, and graduated from high school in 2001.

Francesca joined the University of Bristol and graduated with a degree in French and Spanish. At the age of 18, Francesca received her amateur jockey license and had 4 wins. Cumani trained and bred racehorses after graduating from university. In 2016Cumani began working for ITV Racing.
