Who is Tippi Hedren Husband?

Tippi Hedren had three husbands in her lifetime. She got married to her first husband Peter Griffith, a stage actor who would eventually become an advertising executive. The duo met in New York City while Peter pursued his stage career. In the year 1952, Tippi tied the knot with her husband Griffith. Out of their married life, they became parents of a daughter Melanie Griffith, born on August 9, 1957. Hedren and Griffith got divorced in the year 1960. She along with her daughter Melanie returned to Los Angeles.

Tippi got married for the 2nd time to her husband Noel Marshall. He would go on to produce three of his wife's films Roar, The Harrad Experiment, and Mister Kingstreet's War. Hedren and her husband Marshall eventually divorced in the year 1982. She wed her third or last husband in 1985, retired steel manufacturer Luis Barrenechea. The duo's married life lasted for nearly a decade. Eventually, Hedren and Luis divorced in 1995.

She has never given a reason for her divorce and once said; "I shouldn't be married". Hedren appears to have no regrets about her prior marriages in an interview with The Belfast Telegraph

"I think marriage is an individual choice, and it's not for me. I'm a very independent person. If I want to walk out in the middle of the night, I do it. I'm very content in my own skin."


Tippi Hedren's Relationship After Divorce

After divorce from her husband Barrenechea Hedren engaged in a relationship with veterinarian Martin Dinnes in 2002. The couple's relationship ended in 2008 but they didn't mention the reason for their split.

Again, she had a troubled relationship with the great and famous director, Alfred Hitchcock while she was filming "The Birds". According to reports, he was too possessive and too demanding, which led to her daughter, Melanie Griffith not being allowed to meet him while on set.

At present, Tippi Hedren lives in a house built on the Shambala Preserve. Also, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003. She has suffered from severe and persistent headaches for a long time. Likewise, she even got a titanium plate put on her neck.

Tippi Hedren is living a healthy quarantine life with her 13 or 14 lions and tigers at her California animal sanctuary, Shambala Preserve, in Acton, California. Also, her granddaughter named Dakota Mayi Johnson is also an American actress and model.
