Erin Hawksworth is an anchor and reporter, born on March 31, 1981, in Vancouver, Canada. She is the daughter of Mark Hawksworth (father), a Highschool baseball coach. She along with her sibling brother Blake Hawksworth grew up in Sammamish, Washington, United States. Her brother Blake, a baseball coach and former Major League Baseball pitcher. She is the granddaughter of Jack Poole, the head of VANOC's bid committee for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

She joined Skyline High School and Eastlake High School in Sammamish. Erin earned an academic scholarship at Arizona State University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Also, she was among the 40 Most Popular Sports Reporters of 2013.
