Irene won the fight with submitted Morgan with a rear-naked choke in the first round. Her fight with Tiburcio was called off due to Aldana’s ill-health condition. Likewise, her fight with Melanie Lacroix was also called off at the last moment from the bout for an unknown reason by LaCroix. She won the fight against newcomer Colleen Schneider via a first-round rear-naked choke. Aldana signed the ‘Ultimate Fighting Championship’ (UFC) on November 6, 2016. She lost her first fight in UFC to Leslie by unanimous decision. However, she earned her first fight of the Night bonus award in the Ultimate Fighting Championship despite losing the fight.

Irene won the fight by unanimous decision to Choi at UFC Fight Night on January 15, 2018. Bethe Correia had to withdraw from the fight with Aldana due to injury. She faced Lucie Pudilova and won the fight via a split decision on September 8, 2018, at UFC 228. Irene postponed the match with Bethe Correia held on May 11, 2019, at UFC 237 and won the fight by submission in round three. She lost the fight via a split decision with Raquel Pennington on July 20, 2019, at UFC. Irene won a fight by unanimous decision with Venessa Melo.
