Early Life of Daniel Humm
In Strengelbach, Switzerland, he was born and raised by Swiss parents. Daniel was born on September 21, 1976. As per reports, his father worked as an architect and mother taught Daniel neatness. He would enjoy watching his mother cook during childhood. At a very young age, he was exposed to a range of food.

He along with his friend Will Guidara purchased the restaurant Eleven Madison Park from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group in 2011. They opened the critically acclaimed NoMad New York in 2012 and the separate NoMad Bar in the year 2014.

Daniel and Will opened Made Nice, a fast-casual restaurant in New York’s Nomad neighborhood in April 2017. The duo opened NoMad Los Angeles, their first restaurant outside of New York City in the year 2018. Also, Humm is an author apart from his career in the restaurant business. Working as a co-author, he has published four books including ‘Eleven Madison Park: The Next Chapter’ and ‘The NoMad Cookbook’.

He launched Eleven Madison Home, a dine-at-home meal kit; each kit funded ten meals to food-insecure New Yorkers through Rethink Food in October 2020. Humm and Rethink launched the Eleven Madison Truck in April 2021, which will serve 2,000 meals a week in communities throughout the Bronx and Brooklyn and be funded by diners at Eleven Madison Park. He left Claridges in November 2021 after they rejected his proposal for a vegan menu due to concerns about what the regular customers would think.
