On October 17, 1940, Alene Akins was born & raised in the United States of America. Her parents were  William Davis Akins (father) & mother Doris Mable Taylor

Alene Akins Married Twice with Larry King 

Larry had many girlfriends but he married only seven of them. Alene got married to her spouse Larry King in the year 1961. As per reports, their lavish wedding ceremony was held at one of the magazine's eponymous nightclubs. Then the former couple adopted their son Andy in 1962. Sadly, he died on July 28, 2020.

Akins & King separated and divorced the following year. In 1969, after they had solved their differences, they were able to remarry. Then, Alene & Larry became parents of Chaia King born in 1969 and died on August 19, 2020. Unfortunately, their marriage also did not last &  split up legally in 1972 again. He opened up about his many marriages in a 2010 interview with CBS

"You know the funny thing," King said, "I think in my life I have loved three people - married all three." "The other marriages I wasn’t in love. It was the thing to do. '"I used to say, what if your wife called urgent on one line, on the other CNN called urgent … which one do you pick up? … I used to say CNN."


Death of Alene Only Biological Child

As we already mentioned Alene had only one biological daughter Chaia. Also, she was the co-writer of a children’s book titled Daddy Day, Daughter Day with King in 1997. On August 19, 2020, she died after succumbing to lung cancer. Larry called the situation a double tragedy for the death of his children.

Alene's Late Ex-husband Larry King Spouses

Alene Akins' late ex-husband Larry King had many girlfriends but married only seven of them. In the year 1952, he married Freda Miller but divorced in 1953. Then Larry again tied the wedding knot Annette Kay married & divorced in the same year i.e 1961. Out of Larry & Kay's relationship, they became parents of a son Larry King Jr born in November 1961.

King again tied the wedding knot with Mickey Sutphin in 1964 & divorced in 1967. In the year 1976, he got married to his wife Sharon Lepore but got divorced in 1983. Larry tied the wedding knot with spouse Julie Alexander in 1989 but divorced in 1992. Also, he got married to Shawn Southwick King in 1997 then separated in 2019. Out of Larry & Shawn's married life, they became parents of Chance Armstrong King born on  March 9, 1999, & Cannon Edward King born on May 22, 2000. 


What was Alene Akins' Cause of Death?

On February 3, 2017, Alene Akins died but no details were provided around the circumstances of her death. As per reports, she passed away peacefully with our children Chaia and Andy by her side. At the age of 83, she died.

The deaths of Akins and King occurred within four years of one another. Larry's official Twitter page announced the tragic news in early 2021. After testing positive for Coronavirus shortly before Christmas, King was hospitalized. According to an NBC source, the television legend contracted the virus from a health care worker who visited his home. Sadly, Larry King died of sepsis as a complication on January 23, 2021. He passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles at the age of 87.
