They met after Bobby car accident on December 12, 1993. His brother drop him, to Seton Hall a couple of times a week, this is how he met Leslie, who was also there. Bobby said;

Bobby Hurley's Controversy

In 2020 Bobby's wife Leslie's allegations of sexual harassment of athletes by boosters made international headlines. Athletics director, Ray Anderson accused of covering up allegations that a major booster sexually harassed three women, including Hurley's wife.

During an email exchange, her husband complained about Anderson's behavior, calling it "disturbing". In his reply, Anderson called Hurley's allegations "false and baseless."

In a later statement, an ASU spokesperson said;
“This matter has been fully investigated and resolved.” 

After that, Bobby  released his own statement to The Athletic’s Doug Haller via Twitter,

"My relationship with Athletic Director Ray Anderson today is strong. We will work together, alongside my outstanding coaching staff, toward the continued success of Sun Devil Men’s Basketball.”
