In the year 2020, upon entering the FIA Formula 3 Championship, she called out the German media claiming that they were favoring Mick and David Schumacher due to their fathers' (Michael and Ralf respectively. Sophia Florsch Accident

Sophia became 1st female German to compete in the Macau Grand Prix in the year 2018. Everything seemed perfect until she suffered a terrible accident on the fourth lap of the Formula 3 race. After the accident, Sophia revealed that she had lost control of her car at the speed of 170 miles per hour then hit rival driver Sho Tsuboi. She going airborne to smash into the safety fence.

Miraculously, Sophia survived the crash, despite suffering a shattered spine. Following an 11-hour surgery, her condition had stabilized and no immediate threat to her health. She spent a couple of weeks at the hospital before returning home. Florsch was back in the driver's seat just after four months of her collision.

Sophia's return to the profession following her dream. She competed in multiple prestigious events, including the 2019 Macau Grand Prix, the FIA F3 Championship, the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans, and others.


Career in Formula Championships

In the year 2016, Sophia competed in the ADAC Formula 4 competition as a Motopark representative. She was the only female driver to ever score a point in the event in her debut race. She earned two podium places and two fastest laps the following year while racing with BWT Mücke Motorsport.

Then her first appearance in the F3 race was when she participated in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship as a test driver on 13th March 2018. Also, she was finished the season in 22nd place. Van Amersfoort Racing confirmed that she would be joining the team as one of their drivers.
