American politician and former law professor, Elizabeth Warren is well-known as the senior United States senator from Massachusetts, serving since 2013. In her political career, she has focused on consumer protection, economic opportunity, and the social safety net while in the Senate.

Is Elizabeth Warren Native American?

In Oklahoma City, Elizabeth Warren was born on June 22, 1949, as the fourth child of her parents. Her mother Pauline Louise was a homemaker (1912–1995) and her father Donald Jones Herring a US Army flight instructor during World War II (1911–1997).

Having American nationality, Elizabeth belongs to the native American ethnicity. Warren along with her 3 siblings raised Methodist. At the age of 13, she started waiting tables at her aunt's restaurant. Elizabeth grew up having financial troubles. 


Education

She enrolled at Northwest Classen High School located in Oklahoma City. Then Warren won a debate scholarship to George Washington University (GWU) at the age of 16. Initially, she aspired to be a teacher but left GWU after two years in 1968. 

Elizabeth attended the University of Houston located in Houston, Texas. In the year 1970, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology. Again she enrolled in Rutgers Law School at Rutgers University Newark. From the University, she received her JD in the year 1976 and passed the bar examination shortly thereafter.

Elizabeth met her first husband while studying in high school. Also, she left her college to marry her love. In the year 1968, Elizabeth made Jim Warren her husband officially. Soon after she became the mother of two children (son & daughter) shared with her first husband Jim.

Their first child a daughter Amelia Warren Tyagi born on September 2, 197. Then they welcomed a son Alexander Warren whose birth date missing. Unfortunately, Elizabeth married life with her husband Jim ended with divorce in the year 1978.

After two years, Warren married again a law professor Bruce H. Mann. On July 12, 1980, Elizabeth tied the wedding knot with her 2nd husband. Despite being married to Bruce, she kept her first husband's surname. 

According to reports, they met at a conference and began their romantic relationship. She told the story of their engagement in a 2016 post on Facebook. Warren said 
 "I proposed to Bruce in a classroom," she added "It was the first time I’d seen him teach, and I was already in love with him, but watching him teach let me see one more thing about him and that was it."

The couple raised two-child together but Warren and Bruce didn't share kids from their married life. Also, Elizabeth has a very supportive husband.

Elizabeth Warren is the grandmother of three children through her daughter Amelia.
