In the 1990s Sal Vulcano started his career as an improvisational comedian, actor, producer, as well as scriptwriter. Then he became a co-founder of the very popular live improv and sketch comedy troupe called ‘The Tenderloins'. Also, in the show three of his very close childhood friends, Mike Boccio, James Murray, and Joe Gatto. 

His high school friends have similar tastes for improv and drama brought them together. In April 2012, they began hosting a podcast, ‘The Tenderloins Podcast’. Then Sal's first breakthrough came when he participated in the NBC Comedy Show, ‘It’s Your Show,’ hosted by Carson Daly. He started getting recognized as a talented comedian after he won the show. 

Soon after, he tasted success with the ‘Impractical Jokers’ in which he was the co-creator along with Joe Gatto, James Murray, and Brian Quinn after following his dream of starting his own TV show. On  December 15, 2011, on TV, the show first aired. The show follows the 4 friends as aim to complete dares, failing which punishment is given. 

Then the show became a huge hit with the audience, needless to say, the hidden camera practical-joke reality series. The show aired in its sixth season on TruTV.
