James Harden went to Artesia High School in Lakewood, California his basketball career started. Likewise, he went to Arizona State for college and was selected to the 2008 NIT field and beat Alabama State and Southern Illinois before falling to defending national champion Florida.

Professional Career

After that Harden was selected as the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He also received the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award of 2011-2012. Harden was then traded to the Houston Rockets on October 27, 2012. He scored a career-high 46 points in a 122–119 to win over his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Harden was selected by the head coaches as a reserve for the 2014 NBA All-Star Game for the 2013-2014 season which marked his second successive All-Star selection. On December 13, 2014, he recorded his third career triple-double with 24 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds in a 108–96 win over the Denver Nuggets for the 2014–2015 season. And after some time, he became the first Rocket to score 43-plus points in consecutive games for the 2015-2016 season.

On July 9, 2016, Harden signed a four-year, $118.1 million contract extension with the Rockets. In the 2016–17 season, he recorded his 17th career triple-double and his fourth career 50-point game. On July 8, 2017, Harden once more signed a four-year contract extension with the Rockets for approximately $160 million, in which he was provided with a total six-year deal with $228 million guaranteed which became the richest contract in NBA history. In the 2018–2019 season, he became the ninth player in NBA history to make 2,000 3-pointers in their career.


International Career

Harden was a member of the United States national team and won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. He was also a member of the team that won the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2014.
